Sometimes when I 'try' to adjust the volume of a song using the slider..when I slide up/down it gets loud/lower but then jumps it goes back to the current volume. If i use the apple headphones w/ the remote or the side rocker button, it works like it should. It only is messed up if I try to the adjust the volume on the screen by sliding.
I was wondering if other's where having this issue or its my touch? Could it be a software error?

It's a software bug that's been around since 1.1.1 (which was the earliest version of the iPod touch software) - I've experienced it on both 1st and 2nd generation units as well as, on the rare occasion, my iPhone. Generally a restart (holding down the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears) fixes it, at least in my experience. It's weird that it's been around for so long yet Apple hasn't done anything to fix it - I guess they don't know exactly what causes it.
