My wife has an Apple Watch Series 8 that updated to 26.2 overnight. The next morning, the touchscreen completely stopped working—no response to any touch, even with more pressure. We tried restarting it (button + crown), resetting it via the iPhone app, and pairing it again, but nothing helped. It now works only as a basic digital watch; Siri 'works' fine, both button works ok but the touchscreen doesn’t at all. The battery also drains much faster now after update. It goes from 100% to 0% in about 5–6 hours, even though it’s only showing the time. Before the update, it easily lasted all day. Is there anything I can try to fix this? Has anyone experienced something similar? Thank you for any help!
Worth mentioning: the watch has barely any scratches. She doesn’t shower or swim with it, and there is no physical damage.
