has anyone had problems with their intel minisuperdrive playing dvd's. I'm renting movies online and using the drive alot. several movies are skippping then the movie just stops. I eject and put it back in then it works fine till the end of the movie.

its just strange.when it happens you can hear the drive constantly restarting to read the dvd.

thanks in advance

Have you tried to view a none rented dvd? How about a music cd, does it do the same type of things (rereading, skips or just sits and spins the cd/dvd). Just making sure it's scratch free and if it still does it then I would give Apple a call or bring it to an Apple Store and have them look at it. That sound like way to picky of a drive but if the dvd is in so-so shape it might be that.
The part of restarting makes me think it's the drive but call and see what they will do. Also post back and let us know what the outcome is :)
