Toughie: Reading MAC WP3.0 wpm files on PC

I have a series of files which were created back in the last millenium -- mid 1990s -- on a MAC in what appears to be WordPerfect 3.0. The extension is *.wp3. The WordPerfect 10 won't open the files nor will MS Word. Anyone have a hint about software or other tricks, tips?????

There's a feature in the latest versions of word on PCs and Mac to 'recover text from any file' - select File > Open, and in the menu somewhere is a dropdown that usually says 'Word documents' or 'All documents'. In this menu there's the option to 'Recover text from any file'

You could try that....
