Track pad turning on the MacBook Pro

I can start my new M1 Pro MacBook Pro by just touching the trackpad. This is from a completely shut down start where I hear the start up chime seconds after clicking. Don't know if this is new or not but to me a pleasant surprise none the less.

Mac Notebooks have been that way since 2016. Any key on the keyboard works too. Even just opening the lid turns it on if it's off.

That’s awesome have not had an Apple laptop since the PowerBook 17” just think it’s pretty cool.
