Does anyone know how the Watch and iPhone track steps together? For example, do they each track steps taken and then they are both added to Health (so 2x the steps are counted?) Does it take the higher or lower of the two for the day? Has there been anything written about this online?

i'm still tryinng to figure this out, but open the health app > health data > fitness > shared data > then you can supposedly move the sources around on the list and the top one takes priority.

i think...

This is a good question, and i was wondering this yesterday. i went ahead and turned of the fitness tracking on my 6, but curious if there is a benefit to leaving it on for a better reading.
