Twice in the past three days my keyboard and trackpad have stopped working simultaneously. Using an external mouse works fine, so it's clearly a hardware problem. Both times I unplugged the cable connecting the trackpad to the main cable coming out of the top case that goes to the motherboard, then put it back in, and it started working again. It didn't seem to be loose or anything. Why would this get dislodged? My laptop barely moves; 90% of the time its just sitting on my desk, so it's not like it got jostled or anything.

The cable I'm talking about is the top right one in step 11 here: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/...-A1226-and-A1260-Upper-Case-Replacement/662/4
Just unplugging it and plugging it back in fixes the problem.
