on my 17 inch MBP (late 2006 model) I have the following problem that happens for both my own account and the superuser account.
Both trackpad and mouse allow me to move the mouse pointer. However with both devices there is no visible respons when pressing the buttons or tapping the pad.
The problem started with the trackpad, Mouse did work. Unfortunately the mouse is now disable too. I did try lots of things with the system prefences (mouse, keyboard, universal access)
Currently backing up through a VNC connection from my Solaris workstation. This works. I can move the mouse (it follows on the MBP screen
), press buttons etc.
Any clues are more then welcome. Salaris is great, but not as a workstation once familiar with Mac OS/X
