I just did a DIY HD replacement on my 17" MBP. It works really well and the replacement was a success on the whole. However, when i put the top case on and tighten all the screws, my trackpad button is permanently pressed down. Im currently using it with the screws still removed and it clicks perfectly. This isn't too big a problem for home use but portability is gonna take a serious blow and i dont want to have to use a usb mouse constantly.

Approx 3 inches of the metal framing around the edge of the top case has peeled away from the surface around the middle screw hole near the trackpad. Ive tried glueing it back, but the casing appears to be slightly buckled and i think this is the problem (despite not applying any undue pressure during the HD replacement) Does anyone know any tips or tricks to get the trackpad working again?
