Hello,

For my work MBP, I never shutdown the computer.

But by around 3 weeks interval, trackpad gets disabled automatically. It does not react to the finger movements.

I can move around by keyboard ok. Every other thing seems to work well.

How can I make sure the problem is trackpad related? Can I check the status of trackpad by terminal or even restart the service?

Thank you.

Try running the Apple Hardware tests, then report back with the results.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your help.

Restarting MBP fix trackpad issue. I like to know why MBP disables trackpad by 3 weeks interval, if possible.

I attached a USB mouse and cursor is moving fine now. This means trackpad has the issue.

I am not sure why it disables itself. Any ideas?

Cheers
