I'm having trackpad issues with my new i7 17" MBP, I bought in April. I'm running 10.6.4 with all updates installed to date. Today, it just noticed it happening. While trying to move my mouse around it randomly gets stuck for a while, then it works ok. It feels a bit laggy when moving around and sometimes the tap to click doesnt work. I have never had a problem with my trackpad until today, so i'm not sure what is causing the issue.
The only thing I can think of that is causing this problem is because I dropped my laptop a couple months ago. I dropped it on a tiled floor, and the left side has a small dent in the corner. However, if this caused any damage, I'm sure I would have noticed it sooner right?
Unfortunately, I do not live close to an apple store. It's about 3+ hours away. I do have an apple certified store that does repairs, so I'm going to see if I can go there soon. Just wanted to hear your guys' opinion.
I do not have apple care, because I don't think that it would do anything. It says it does not cover accidental damage. And I've heard that if they see your computer physically damaged, they will say that it is your fault and not cover it. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
