My MacBook's trackpad has been going crazy. It will just jump across the screen, click at random times, and then just freeze. This all started after I tried to clean the computer with a damp cloth. I know what your thinking. Water damage. But it kind of does, and kind of doesn't seem like it. I tried resetting the SMC, and it worked for a bit. Then it went crazy again. I read that sometimes creating a new account will help. I did so, and boom! It works. It's just it's not my old account, and it doesn't have any of my stuff. Please help me figure out how to fix the problem on my old account. Until then I'll just have to make do the temporary account. Thanks guys, and have a wonderful holiday!
Update. The problems have returned despisite being gone before!
