The trackpad on my one month old macbook pro suddenly isn't working properly. If I try and move the curser it lags and then moves a bit but not very much. When I'm not touching anything the curser moves around a bit and clicks on things randomly. It's as if the mouse is constantly clicked because if I click then the computer thinks I'm right-clicking- the trackpad isn't physically stuck down though.

I was wondering whether anybody has a potential solution to this problem? I haven't got an external mouse so I don't know whether it's the trackpad itself or if it's a software problem.

It's a 15" unibody macbook pro running leopard.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Dan

Try restoring from a TM backup, or do an Archive and Install and see if that fixes it. If not, its a hardware problem, then go to the Apple Store
