Hi, my brother accidentally deleted trackpad.prefpane.

He deleted it from the "search for" menu in the finder window.

I didn't even think that those were programms in there, I thought that those were only shortcuts and didn't think that important ones can be deleted...So when he deleted it, in order to clean the "search for" menu, I didn't worry, but then I noticed that it was missing.

Please help, how to restore or download it?(the trackpad works, but there is no prefpane)

well, if you have the mac os x cd, try reinstalling over macintosh hd, it shouldnt affect your files as mac os x, most of them i know, were upgrade and full installation disks. so all it will do is downgrade u, then you need to do a software update. it should all be fine. if its not, then your going to have to do a clean install or restore from a backup. good luck and i hope this helps.
