Hello. I seem to have a problem with my trackpad.

It does not respond in a 2cm wide zone, parallel to the space bar around the middle of the trackpad. As a results it makes the pointer and scrolling stop and continue when I am past it driving me nuts.

It's been a couple of very humid days here in Athens and I haven't had it happen before.

Anyone faced the same problem? My computer works just fine when I connect an external mouse but that's only 50% of the time I use it. I am still under warranty but I wouldn't want to be without my computer for a couple of days (Mac service in Greece is a sad story).

Any recommendations? Should I clean under the trackpad of see if humidity is trapped under there? That would require removing the battery and I don't have a tri-edge screwdriver but that is the least of my concerns.

Thank's in advance.
