Trackpad questions on new 2011 macbook pro.

I have cerebral palsy but it looks like i can get the two finger gestures to work fine. However three and four finger gestures don't seem to be working properly. My MBP is just a few weeks old. Do some of these gestures just work with safari as an internet browser?

Yes, some features are application-specific, but some aren't. For example: the pinching gesture has to be supported by the application.

Ok, thanks, i was just wondering if my trackpad was malfunctioning or not but I think just have to become more familiar with gestures and such.
