I've had my new MBP for about 2 months and already see a definite circular wear mark on the center of the trackpad. Is there a proper way to clean this? Or is it just a feature of trackpads?

I've had mine for 140 cycles and absolutely no wear on it. Maybe just try washing it out with a very lightly wetted cloth, and a little bit of soap. If it doesn't get out, then it's maybe just sweat or oils from your hand

I use iKlean for most things. It is easy on the Macs and I don't worry about damage. You can also try a magic eraser but a trackpad will likely show signs of wear over time.

I'm pretty sure the trackpad is covered with a thin layer of glass. Pretty much impossible to wear it down or permanently stain it.

That's finger grease and I honestly get that on my trackpad after hours of use. I use a spray bottle with water on a cloth to get rid of the circle and it looks good as new. I've had my MBP for almost 2 years now.
