Recently there began to be some issues with my battery not charging so I reset the SMC. This seemed to solve the battery problem; however, now the physical click on my macbook does not work. It still functions if it's set to "tap to touch" but it does not work with the physical button unless I really push it down extremely hard.

Do you think it is a conicedence that these two problems arose at the same time? Do you know anyway to fix it?

Finally, I have the extended 3 year warantee on my macbook and right now it is about 2.5 years old. Will warantee cover this trackpad problem even though "tap to touch" still works?
