Anyone else got a swirl mark on their trackpad. I tried to rub it off with a damp cloth but didn't work.

Yeah, PCs have a tendency to rape macs. :)

If this has happened, you mac may be infested with spyware, viruses, and god knows what ells, the "trackpad crabs" are just the beginning of your problems. Next drivers will be corrupted, hardware will stop working, boot time will triple. You need to take you mac to the doctor right now!!

Looks to me like a ghostly image of a laughing chimpanzee's face. I clearly see its two eyes and head looking slightly towards the left. I would ask a specialist paranormal priest, like the famed Reverend MacPulpit, to investigate.

You have a very vivid imagination...

On the topic though, is this swirling common??? I hope not...

Ehh...couldn't it just be wear from the OP's finger over time?

its a unibody so its a glass trackpad, it doesnt wear like normal trackpads, so that wouldnt be the cause. Sometimes when you look at glass, usually cheap glass you can see those kind of swirls. Apple will fix it for you if its under warranty as its clearly a manufacturing defect.
