Trackpad tap stops working and repeating keys

Recently the trackpad tap of my MB pro Penryn (march 2008) stops working often and than I need to go to system trackpad preferences before it starts working again.

Also I have sometimes that keys keep repeating while typinggggggggg
I had my keyboard replaced for that 4 months back, but now I do not have Apple Care anymore...
For that last problem I reinstalled OSX but with no result.

I downloaded firmware updates for the keyboard and trackpad but when installing I get the message I dont need to install them.

Any advice??

do you have any wireless keyboards or mice connected via bluetooth? if so turn them off as a simple book on the wireless keyboard may cause this
