Trackpad taps vs clicks

Hi!

I was wondering if there is any software (apart from the BetterTouchTool) that would allow for assigning different events to taps (NOT clicks) on the Trackpad?
Unfortunately, the BTT crashes and/or uses 120% of CPU on my MBA (running Mavericks) all the time.

Could you please suggest an alternative? In particular, I would like to assign taps on the right side of the Trackpad as right-clicks.

I've always used BTT without a hitch. Not sure why it doesn't work on your laptop. I have no alternatives to give, sorry.
