Have a early 2011 macbook pro 13 inch i5. Less than a year old.

The trackpad seems to be wonky or non responsive on the bottom 3/4s of an inch. It wasn't like this when I got it new.

For example, if I start at the bottom of the notebook and drag my finger onto the trackpad it won't start moving until about 3/4s of an inch up the pad. if I drag my finger down to the bottom 3/4s of the pad and keep going to the edge but if I stop in that bottom section, without raising my finger, and start moving again, it won't move until I have moved my finger out of that area.

You have a warranty that is excellent. Use it.

My late 2011 13" MBP behaves the same way, except it happens at all edges of the trackpad and extends in about 0.5". I don't think this is anything unusual.
