Hi guys,

I'm messing around with the Traditional Chinese keyboards on the iPad, so my wife can do stuff using Zhuyin and the finger writing input. Well, I also activated the pinyin input for myself.

My question is, how do you do 'tones' for characters using pinyin on the iPad?

I did a search on the Apple discussion forums but to no avail.

There is currently no way to do pinyin with tones on iOS devices. Even on Mac OS X, it is very difficult to do tones. You can only type Pinyin and select a character, draw the character with your finger, or use the strokes function.
