I've just recently purchased a new mac book pro.

I also have a 2.0 Intel Core Duo macbook. I've been offered a powermac dual 1.8 for my macbook. I'm not sure if I really need two laptops. I need a laptop for work, but for home I just need somthing for imove edits and itunes. Does anyone know how the powermac compares to a macbook running the ilife applications?

Should I trade the macbook for the powermac?

No, you shouldn't. Why would you want the PowerMac anyway? The MacBook Pro is a more powerful machine. Just sell the MacBook.

Nah, cause then you'd need a monitor too. If you're going to trade for a desktop, at least trade up!

I guess it would depend on the specs of the Power Mac G5 (RAM, HDD space, video card, etc...).
