Trade ATT iPhone to Verizon for current customer

Hey all, so my mother in law is a Verizon customer (only good coverage where she lives). She is eligible for an upgrade now. Would she be able to take my ATT iPhone 5 and trade it in toward a new iPhone under contract? Thanks guys.
 
Both the wife and I traded in our AT&T iPhone 5's at the local Verizon store when we transferred to them and picked up our 6's.
