Trade for old Macbook Pro instead

Contemplating trading late 2015 5k iMac for a top specced 2015 rmbp. The rmbp is out of warranty and is not eligible for Apple Care. Should I pull the trigger? What are some things to look out for in a straight up trade? The other option is to sell and buy the new rmbp.

Why trade, they're both great machines.
I don't mean that in a mean way, just curious what the reason is that you want to trade.
Don't want a big screen? Want to be more mobile?
