I have a iPhone 13 Pro and need to have the back replaced. I was planning to have it fixed but would Apple give me the full $230 trade in value if I upgraded instead of repairing? If not, I'll get it repaired and keep it as a backup.

If either the screen or the back glass is damaged, Apple will classify the phone as having “no trade-in value”, meaning you won’t receive any credit. They will, however, happily recycle it for you at no cost; how generous of them!

You'll get full value because Apple doesn't check whether the chassis is OEM.

Old models get destroyed while newer models get resold as-is to refurbishers.
