Hello. I have a question and hoping someone with a similar experience can help. I’m planning on trading in my 11 Pro Max, but it has a microscratch in the screen about 3/4 of an inch in width. It’s only visible in certain light and never when the screen is on.

What is the likelihood that I’ll get a full trade in value? Other than the microscratch, the phone is in immaculate condition.

Anyone else have experience with this scenario?

In my experience you get way more by selling it than you do for trading it in. Apple’s trade in values are a joke.

Why not sell it privately?

I just don’t want to deal with buyers backing out, low balling, etc. Just don’t have time for it and I’d rather just put my phone in a box and ship it out.

Anyone? Surely someone has sent a trade in with a microscratch before.

Put a screen protector on and trade it in store maybe?

Also mazuma (in the uk) don’t take condition into consideration so maybe worth a look too.

@mjschabow where are you from?

I live in the UK.

I sold my Xs Max to music magpie with a cracked camera, and got price they quoted me before sending it off.

If your happy with the quote price just send it off. You might get lucky like me.

Light wear and tear is acceptable. I've never had a problem trading in with minor scratches but they won't accept cracks or chips.

thanks! yeah it’s definitely not a crack. Just your typical microscratch that you can’t buffer out but can barely see.
