Nextworth.com says $420. Apple offers $400.

Not sure how Apple pays you for the trade. Nextworth will use Paypal or check.

I've used eBay and Craigslist and honestly the hastle wasn't worth it.

How did you get the quote from Apple? Did you go into a store for it or is there a website that gives estimates?

on the website. i went all the way to the bottom near the fine print it says recycle. you'll get a quote there. i got my highest quote from gazelle, sending my mom's 4s there and they are giving me 200 bucks.

Thanks, here's the URL,

Is this the same program and price that you get if you take your phone into an Apple store and apply the credit to a new phone? It doesn't mention that, yet the in-store program is apparently underway.

Sadly, Gazelle is being greedy, they are offering $350 for a 64GB iPhone 5. Even Apple is offering $400.

That sucks! They are offering me $335 for a 32 GB iPhone 5. You are only getting $15 more for the extra $100 investment?

The website trade in has been there for years the in store recycle is thru a totally different company and offers different prices.

Last year's technology, especially used, is not worth the same today. Ever buy a car and try to sell it a year later?

They send you an electronic Apple store gift card.

If you buy a lot at Amazon, also consider their trade-in program. They give you store credit as well and seem to have slightly better prices than Apple.

Nextworth also has a +10% promo code: TODAYSIPHONE

They quoted me $410, but with the promo code it jumped to $451.

Good catch! Thanks. Doubtful that I'll be able to find $451 anywhere else. Since they hold the price 30 days, I'll still talk to Apple, just in case.

Now how the heck am I supposed to sleep for the next week and a half? :D

Apple really needs to add pre-orders back!

I locked in my offer of $415 for my iPhone 5 AT&T at BuyBackWorld.
I've tried both BuyBackWorld and Gazelle. I used to use Gazelle for a few years but found BuyBackWorld last year since they paid higher prices and buy other devices too that Gazelle doesn't buy. Both offered excellent service but might as well use BuyBackWorld since they pay more and I did receive the payment a few days faster. They seem to beat Apple's trade in prices too. I rather have cash vs a gift card anyway.

Gazelle's prices are dropping by the hour. They offered my $345 for my 32GB, later in the day it was down to $330.

That's why I locked in $451 with Nextworth.com. The price is good for 30 days and I don't necessarily have to use them if I find a better deal.

Prices already going down. Offered me $374 with that code. Highest so far. ATT black 32Gb

Nextworths prices are also dropping

It looks like all the tradein prices are coming down slightly, Gazelle, Nextworth and BuyBackWorld. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept dropping. Glad I'm already locked in until Oct 31
