Considering getting a MacBook Air as my MacBook Pro, which is only 17 months old, currently needs its fourth warranty repair. Once its fixed the trade in value will be £440 but is there any chance of persuading Apple to do the trade in before they do the warranty repair?

Last time it was repaired they had it for a month and I don't want to be without for that long so that might be a solution.

Although I'm not sure if I'm being foolish going with Apple again given how many problems I've had with both my MacBook Pro and AirPod Pros. My original MacBook Air lasted 7 years with no issues. Now I seem to speaking with Apple Support every few weeks, between them I'm onto the 7th warranty repair in less than 12 months.

You have nothing to lose by going to an Apple store and asking if they might consider it.

If your laptop has had that many repairs under warranty, ask them for a replacement computer. Maybe since it’s had so many repairs and is still failing, it falls under local lemon laws, which would force Apple to replace with a new unit.
