Anybody know if it is ok to trade in an old iPhone to Apple (or Verizon) with a replaced screen (or other parts) from a third party repair shop?

Edit: Shouldn't have said 3rd party parts, just 3rd party repair shop. They claim to use OEM parts.

They won't know it's 3rd party. It's not like they take apart the phones before they accept them.

Depends on what you're going in for service for, because they definitely have the ability to open the phone and check for evidence of tampering.
