I was in the Apple Store today upgrading to a S3 SBSS from my S0 SS and they offered me a trade in for my current watch, which I had no idea they offered. Apparently, they started it yesterday:

They offered me $75 for my S0 42" SS and I did a quick check on Ebay and they are going for around $150 at most. Between the fees, the fact the trade in lets me keep my band and Apple Watch cable and hassle of selling it on Ebay, I decided to trade it in.

Good information. Best Buy had something similar where you could trade in your Apple Watch as well. One could also try selling locally if you wanted to to avoid eBay. But I agree, I would not sell my Apple products on eBay to avoid all the potential fraud. I would rather take a cut in value versus having A buyer fraud me off eBay.
