I have a 13" MacBook Pro Retina i5, 4 GB, 256 SSD and a iPad Air 2 16 GB. Do you think both of those devices would be a fair trade for a 15" MacBook Pro retina base 2012 or whatever the first year retina was..
I put the offer on craigslist...we will see what happens.

I feel it would be fair to someone who might be more suited with a 13" but it's a matter of finding the right person at the right time.

Yep - the advice above is quite right. If there is someone who is finding their 15" a touch big, and doesn't have (but fancies) an iPad, game on...

Just an update in case anyone was wondering. I managed to complete the trade. Got a 2012 base model 15" retina for straight trade. Love it, however I have a LG screen and it has a ghosting issue I didn't notice when I met which is disappointing. Still happy with the trade.
