Hey so im thinking of selling my first revision aluminum imac, ibook, and custom built HTPC on craigslist or ebay to get the money for a 15" Macbook Pro to replace all of them. Right now the iMac is my primary computer, the ibook is basically my mac netbook, and then I built a media center for my HDTV.

What are your thoughts on selling all of those and replacing them with the MBP?

With the recent price drops I figure it would only cost me a couple hundred at most, plus apple care.

is it worth it to consolidate all three of those computers into one?

and FINALLY... can the newest MBP with the non removable battery still easily swap out the HDD in the same fashion the previous unibody mbp did?? I would like more than 500gb total storage if im going to use it for my media center.

+1

Go for it, it's also much simpler to keep it all on a single computer. If you feel like it, you could pick up an external display later
