So heres the deal...after apple put out a software fix on the iPhone 15 Pro overheating issue, i figured what the hell, might as well upgrade as i do like the idea of USB C, Pro Res Cameras and I love the titanium look on my Apple Watch Ultra, might as well give it a go, but decided to go with the smaller pro for the first time in many years (I think since the first max/pro one years ago)

Its been less then 12 hours so far and when i put it in the Spigen C1 Ruby Red case, it looks amazing, but using it is more difficult then i thought. I keep missing keystrokes and watching movies on it isn't as enjoyable as on the old 14PM.

My two questions...has anyone regretted going from a Pro Max to a smaller phone and why, and 2: since i did a trade in, can i go back to the store in a few days and exchange it for a pro max (obviously pay the difference) without any hassles?

If you don’t own an iPad or enjoy the convenience of watching movies on your phone, then return it and get a PM ASAP.

Missing keystrokes isn’t an issue for me. I have big hands but changed from 11 Pro to 13 Mini in the past. I used Swiftkey board which is hands down the best on the market. Predictive texts is superior to the default keyboard. For bilingual people it’s epic.

If i try to type a word it knows whether I’m trying to write in English or Swedish. I can mix both language in a single sentences without switching between language settings.

I went 13PM -> 14P -> 15PM

Pros and cons. I had the same exact problem where typing accuracy deteriorated on the smaller screen. No way around that, smaller area to type. Also on the 14P I often had <20% battery at the end of the day, which never happens on a Max model.

On the other hand it was really nice to have a smaller phone, although with a grippy case it's not that big deal even using it with one hand. The biggest letdown on the Pro Max is how the screen is utilized. I would prefer to have the same size interface as on the Pro, yet everything is bigger on the Pro Max (and it is not possible to change that in settings) and sometimes it feels like a phone for the elderly :).

Also 15PM has a slightly smaller footprint than 13PM and 14PM and is significantly lighter.

Personally I am looking forward to a 6.3'' phone next year (if rumors are correct). Size between the Pro and Pro Max will probably work great for me.
