Traded my Touch for a 2G - OS question

As the title says, I traded my Touch for a 2G. I might activate it, but I just wanted the ability to do so if I chose (currently VZW customer). I live in a rural area, so the lack of 3G isn't a big deal.

My main question is:
Will I be crippled by any OS limitations on the 2G vs my Touch? Should all of my apps still function? Will it be able to load the 3.0+ OS's?

if they are 3.0 tested they will work but anything from 4.0 or later might crash if they are made for 4.0, just have the latest version ios 3 which is 3.1.3

As long as 3.1.3 works, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. What do you mean 3.0 tested?
