Hey everyone. I have a late 2006 MacBook and found someone selling a couple month old 15" MacBook Pro. He is asking for $1200 and I think its a great deal. Would giving him my current MacBook + 600-700 sound fair to all of you? The person needs money and this way he can still have a great computer. Please share your thoughts, thanks.

An apple refurbished 15" goes for 1299$. They are same as new, definitely better than used... so go figure...

Turn over your macbook plus kick in $700 cash? Doesn't sound that great to me. You could sell yours, add the cash and get a new one.

It would be a nice upgrade. I don't think I could operate on only 512 anymore :D

Though I'm not really sure how much 2006 macbooks are worth these days or if you'd be paying a fair amount by paying the extra $600-700.

Well I did check ebay and the cheapest C2D macbook was $650 so i'm not sure. If he doesn't want the MacBook do any of you know a good place to try and sell it?
