I was looking to trade my iphone 6 plus , 64GB(Space Grey) on Verizon for a iphone 6.

What would be a good deal to get a iphone 6 and + some cash for a iphone 6?

Has anyone done this yet?

I was thinking a couple hundred bucks and a 6 for the plus.

thanks

I kind of went the other way around. Look at the 5 after using a 6 for a while. The 5 looks tiny. When you have a 6+ the 6 looks tiny. I don't think I'd trade anything for my 6+ now. It's big, but I love it, worth the extra $.

any legit websites or resources out there for trading?

How much do you think would be a good cash add on on top of the iPhone 6 for the 64gb plus?

I'd generally do craigslist with cash on pickup (whatever you do, do not accept checks, money orders, paypal, anything... all can be reversed). Or eBay... but the fees on eBay have been insane lately. 10% of sales.

Isn't a 6+ just $100 more than a 6?

Since all of the iPhone 6's and 6+'s are about the same age now, I would be surprised if you could get more than $100 plus the iPhone 6...

I highly doubt you can get $200 - anything more than $100 and consider yourself lucky. Since your the one searching. May be different if it was the other way around.

I would think $50-70 bucks + the 6 for a 6+

difference is $100 new. Why would anyone give you more then $100 for a used phone. You don't want the 6+ any more. People with iPhone 6s are super funny.

You know next september your phone is only worth 400 bucks at most. Get the biggest bang for your buck you can.

I got a iPhone 6 at launch. Then found someone who hated the 6+ and wanted to trade for a 5s. I gave him my 64gb 5s +250 for a 6+ 64gb. I think its crazy giving 6 and $200 for a 6+ unless its a 16 or 64gb one for a 128gb one

Someone offered me 200.

If I were to swap phones from a plus to a iPhone 6 both on Verizon, would be just swap sims and be done with it ?

First, you are quite fortunate.

Second, no sim swapping needed. Just restore both phones to factory default (in the settings) then swap them. You will need to call Verizon and activate the phone (instructions are different with different models but are available on their site).

Then you run away and hope that person never realizes how much you just ripped them off.

well we went back and forth because i wanted space grey and he had the white and silver. He offered me the 200 so I cant complain.

So no need to swap sims at all? Always thought we needed to take out the sims but I will take your word for it.

How about trading a Plus 16GB for a 64GB? I initially thought "I only use a handful of apps, so maybe I can save some money". Turned out to be a not-so-good idea. I can live with it, just wondering where I should start. At the ATT store where I bought it?

Risky business

There's lots of scams right now and many people are apprehensive in selling and buying iPhones from third parties eg ebay, craigslist. One of the most common scams is the phone is stolen or it is or soon will be blacklisted across North America once the person has your money. Why do they do this? They can also benefit from insurance (reporting the device stolen).

Even if you have a receipt that you bought the device from a third party, it may be very difficult or impossible to convince your cellular carrier to remove the blacklisted imei rendering your device useless.

I'm wondering if I should trade my 128 gb 6 sg for a iPhone plus. Thinking I could get used to the screen size
