Trading my 8gb for 16gb 3G, but what about warranty?

Im trading my iPhone 3G black for a 16gb white iPhone. My question, is if I go into the Apple Store for a replacement or for tech issues, will i have the warranty from when I bought my 3G or when the guy bought his 16gb?
