I'm trading my BlackBerry Torch for an iPhone 4 with someone off of Craigslist. How do I go about getting my phone number, etc. onto the iPhone 4 since it has a micro sim and the Torch has a regular SIM?

I will be replacing mine Curve 8330 (CDMA) for an iPhone 4, but I've heard you can get something like Blackberry messenger on the iPhone. Has anyone used it or have any info on it? Wouldn't you still need a BBM PIN so your BBM contacts can reply to you?

There is no app for iPhone that will let you communicate via BBM. BBM is a proprietary IM system that RIM will not share.

That said, there are multiple apps that offer similar functionality to BBM. They all required the users to download and install the same app. I use one called Whatsapp and it works very well for me. It is cross platform and Android and BB users can also install it.

That was the one I was thinking of, I guess I misunderstood how it worked.
That's too bad, I was hoping to stay in contact with my BBM users in a non txt msg environment.
