I'm on T-Mobile, so naturally our devices aren't worth as much in the aftermarket than AT&T devices or 'unlocked GSM' devices.
Having said that, the Note 2 seems to consistently sell for more than $500 in the used market. Is this a fair trade? I really want a better phone and the 16GB iPad 4 I have is just sitting around.
Plus with the looming rumors that the iPad 5 may drop as soon as June, I would like to convert my investments to something that will retain its value longer.
However, Android devices are notorious for depreciating rapidly. There's S3's going for as low as $300 on Craig's List. Good luck finding an iPhone 4S for that price. (The lowest I've seen a 4S at is $380 and the S3 came out in June 2012 versus September 2011 for the 4S)
