Carrier "Tranfer" AT&T Next Installment Plan to Another Line?

Hi. Sorry if this has been answered in the past, but I can't find anything.

I'm curious with something...

I have three lines... my mother's, my sister's and mine. Mine are currently on a Next plan and my sister’s.

I used my mom's line to pre-order the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but I'm willing to fullfil my line (pay the rest of my actual iPhone debt) to avoid paying monthly for it.

So, I'm curious... can AT&T transfer the AT&T Installment to my line? Or not?

(I'm not asking if I can use the phone I ordered through my mom line's on with my line.) I'm asking if they can "transfer/adjust" that Installment plan to mine.

I won't understand why no. It's just as simple as to cance the installment and open it again in the other line...

I work for the company. It’s a bunch of legal stuff, but no, the line that has the installment has to keep that installment til you pay it off or you will be charged the payoff if the number is ported out, cancelled

Ohh ok, thanks for clarifying you work for AT&T... Once someone put the incorrect installment on one of my lines (and after some days, some department manually canceled the wrong installment and create a new one.) i thought maybe this would be the case... like create a new installment... but ok...

anyways, need to call today when I receive the iPhone to put it on my line...

Not saying it’s right, but reps are paid to sell new lines, and I don’t know your details, of course. There are always options, maybe not that are the easiest but I’d bet if you call in you can get resolution

I don't need a new line. I have all my lines with AT&T.
