Is there an app that transcodes video?

I ask as I have a ton of videos that i want to play on my ps3, iphone but arent compatible. is there anyway i can transocde these videos real time and trnasfer them to my devices without making more copies?

Depending on the speed of your computer and how big your files are, transcoding in real time when you sync will be a very time consuming process.

For ease of use for media transcoding, there's Handbrake and then there's everything else.

Oh, and if your PS3 is networked and you're going to keep the files on your PS3, just save to that location as you transcode.

Oh, and even though you specifically used the phrase "transcode in realtime" to mean something different than what people generally use it for, do not select the transcode in real time option when you transcode video, regardless of what app you choose.
