Transcoding TIVO files

Can Compressor 4 be used to transcode TIVO files when transferred from a Tivo DVR for export to iTunes and Apple TV 3?

FCPX has no problem with importing TiVo-exported files (as long as you specify that you want them exported from the TiVo in a format FCPX understands, like MP4). I expect Compressor would import them too.
