Wow, so yesterday I went from ATL to SNA and I saw battery times of as much as 8:42 in the battery meter at 93% power. Finally, I have a MacBook with amazing battery life! :)

This was achieved using just Keynote, with BT and Wi-Fi off and brightness set at 1 segment. My guess is that with actual use, i.e. multiple apps, etc., you could get at least six hours with this great lappy. :cool:
 
of course, apple actually advertises 8-9 hours (for the 15-inch. 10 hours for 13'inchers)... and you didn't even have wireless on or the display set to their test brightness.

I've yet to achieve 8-9 hours with wireless on when using my 2010 15-inch MBP. I can barely hit 8 hours by turning wireless off, and skimping on brightness, and just using the computer to read documents, but that's about it.
 
Wow! Impressive. Thanks for sharing. I was expecting 4-5 hours but 7-8 on dim will work for me when need to.
This just makes the wait for my new MBP even more agonizing.:eek:
