I've had an iMac since '04. Got a Macbook yesterday & have spoken to 4 Apple reps. regarding the unsuccessful transfers from imac to new macbook. Only 1 person has been very helpful, but is unavailable till Monday.

I am trying to move Adobe CS2 from imac OR iomega to new macbook. Original software was lost in Nola flood of '05 (K!!)

Migration Assistant via firewire does not work because I don't have a USB keyboard. When holding "T", the wireless keyboard is not recognized soon enough upon restart.

Has anyone been successful in moving applications such as Adobe CS2 from an external hard drive to a new macbook? Any tips? This is what I would like to try next, but would prefer to research it first.

This is my first post here - thanks in advance for any feedback!

HP keyboard doesn't work for migration

Borrowed an HP keyboard with a USB adapter from a friend. It works fine once the computer is warmed up but does not recognize the 't' being held down when it initially restarts.
Wish this city had an Apple store.
