I have a older iMac (purchased it in March 02) and I want to transfer all the files to my new MacBook. I have a wireless connection that I use to connect to the internet. Is there a way to do the transfer using wireless or do I need a firewire?

Thanks...

Yea, it's certainly doable, as I've done it, but be sure to make a large brew of coffee because it's going to take a while. I let it go for about two days (100+ GB) for it to finish. I didn't have any alternatives at the time. As spinnerlys mentions, going for ethernet connection will dramatically improve transfer time on this. I've done firewire in the past as well and it's very fast when it's an option.
