Hi all,
I've just lost my Blackberry Tour 9630, and replaced it with an iPhone 4. I had backed up my Blackberry on my Macbook a few months ago, though I did not import any information to the Mail app on my computer. All I have is the .bbb file. My computer doesn't read the file -- is there any way for me to get the data off of it so that I can transfer my contacts? I don't even mind if I have to do it manually, but it'd be great if I could at least view my Blackberry address book so I know who/what to put in my new phone.
Thanks so much!

I would call your carrier or go into a store with your computer (if its a laptop). Maybe they can loan you a phone that you can save the bbb file onto then use that to then transfer them back into your address book and get them over to your iphone 4.

Good question. You may need to find an old used BB wipe it, restore the contacts to it and then sync it back to the macmail app. Then you can sync your iphone with macmail. I am not sure you can use the Mac BB desktop manager to sync just a backup file you got from the bb to macmail etc.

I have been a BES admin for 10 years and still supporting them and I really am about done with RIM. They really need to get with the times or get out of the phone business. Unless they do something innovative soon they will be dead in 2-5 years. They are still the best email pager but thats about it lol.
