How do I get all the contacts from my old iPhone to my new 3G? Also, why does it come up as using EDGE sometimes, can I turn EDGE off and make it only use 3G?

Do you still have the old iPhone? Why not switch the SIM cards? Then there's an option for importing contacts from the SIM.

Also, you could sync your old iPhone with the Address Book on your Mac, and then sync the new iPhone, telling iTunes to have the Address Book transfer info to your iPhone. That gives you the added bonus of now having your contacts in your Address Book. :) That means easy editing while you're on the computer.
