Transfer contacts?

I will be coming over from an EVO and wanted to know is it easy as logging into my gmail account to have my contacts transfered over?

Yup.

Although I suggest NOT setting it up as G-Mail, but as an Exchange account.

I don't know if it works as Exchange on blackberry, but I remember that there is an app that syncs the Google Contacts and Calendar with your phone wirelessly. HERE is the link. Had that one my old Curve and it worked pretty well. Not instant, but very usable.
